As we announced last week, we've just opened up applications for cohort 3.
We'll be closing applications once we find our selected startups or on 1st March 2018.
Therefore, the earlier you apply, the higher your chances of being accepted.
We're in the process of reviewing the applications we've received so far and we'll be inviting the first batch of startups for interviews next week.

Our New 'Entrepreneur In Residence'
It's a pleasure to introduce our new 'Entrepreneur in Residence', Lukas Duczko, who will be helping our startups over the next few months.
Here's what Lukas had to say when I caught up with him...
Welcome to the Betatron team, Lukas! Tell everyone a bit about yourself...
In 2010 I started Scrive, an e-signing SaaS company based in Stockholm. We started with nothing and managed to grow the company to close to 40 employees, 2.5m USD in ARR and 1000 paying business customers in 30 countries.
Not a raving success, but I’m proud of what we accomplished and the future looks extremely promising. In June 2017 I left as CEO to take a 1 year break to think of what to do next. For the past 7 months I’ve focused on winding down by traveling around South East Asia together with my girlfriend, reading a lot of books and contemplating life. The coming 5 months is all about getting business inspiration, starting with 3 months here at Betatron.
We're glad to have you! Which aspects of the startup journey will you be helping our teams with?
I believe I will be able to help out on most topics. Scrive was always low on cash and I like to push things as much as possible. So, that often meant that if I really wanted something done I had to do it myself or help others on the team get things done faster. That has given me a broad hands-on experience of most aspects of running a tech startup such as sales, product management, marketing, pricing strategy, financial modelling, fundraising, HR, recruitment, KPI setting and more.
Wow, sounds like there's tons of experience our startups can tap into.
Curious to know, why did you decide to move to Hong Kong and join Betatron?
I have always been interested in setting up a business in Hong Kong because of the proximity to China and the whole South East Asia region. I figured that helping at Betatron for 3 months could be a great way to explore the Hong Kong business community, and especially the startup tech scene. I got the introduction to Betatron via Alan Chan at Vectr Ventures who invested in Scrive in 2016. Alan and I got to know each other better when I arranged a private two-day Stockholm startup-scene tour for him (i.e. meetings from early morning to late night) where he got to meet some great VCs, founders, event organisers and tech publications. I guess his intro to Betatron was a good way to repay the networking favour ;)
What are your initial thoughts on Hong Kong's startup ecosystem?
When I started my company in 2010 in Stockholm the startup scene was very fragmented and there wasn't much of a network to talk about. When I left in mid 2017 Stockholm was arguably the second most successful tech hub in the world, only second to Silicon Valley the obvious #1. We had a truly vibrating tech community. With two dedicated startup newspapers, a monthly tech event with 600 participants, tons of experienced entrepreneurs, angels everywhere, dozens of boutique VC firms and not least a bunch of newborn unicorns to act as inspiration; including Spotify, King (Candy Crush), Mohjang (Minecraft) and Klarna.
I get the feel that Hong Kong is like Stockholm in 2013, right before it really boomed. It's vibrating. I think its a really exciting time to be in Hong Kong right now!
I'm here to dive deep into the Hong Kong startup ecosystem, so if anyone wants to get in touch to chat, you are welcome to reach out at firstname.lastname@example.org
