India-based 91Squarefeet, a startup that manages retail construction projects, has raised US$1 million from Betatron Venture Group’s newly launched fourth fund.

The startup digitizes design, materials procurement, contractor hiring, and project management in retail construction for customers. It assesses contractors, facilitates the ordering of materials, and tracks each step of the construction process to give visibility on each project’s progress. The company was part of Y Combinator’s winter 2022 batch.

Amit Bansal, co-founder and CEO of 91Squarefeet, said that the startup plans to launch in other Asian countries next year. It is also looking to close a series A round before the end of the year.

Meanwhile, Betatron Venture Group is an early-stage tech investor based in Hong Kong and Singapore. Its fourth fund, BVG IV, typically invests between US$500,000 to US$2 million in seed and series A rounds. Aside from 91Squarefeet, BVG IV has also invested US$1 million in Pakistan-based wholesale distributor 24Seven.
